Lighthouse
Tours :
“Although
only 48 miles from north to south, Rhode Island boasts over
400 miles of shoreline containing numerous small islands,
bays and inlets. The most prominent feature is Narragansett
Bay which hosted no less than 29 of the state's 32 lighthouses”*

The
Rum Runner II is a truly unique yacht for a lighthouse excursion
as we can customize our tour to fit your specific needs. For
example, in just 2 hours, you can view and learn the history
of six lighthouses in the Newport Harbor and Narragansett
Bay . We also offer more extensive tours that include an actual
in person viewing of the restored Rose Island Lighthouse built
in 1869 which now operates as an inn. |

Fireworks
Cruises:
Rum
Runner II and Madeleine provide the perfect platforms for
fireworks viewing. Whether for the Newport , Jamestown or
Navy Base annual celebrations, you'll enjoy breathtaking firework
displays over the Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay onboard
either the motor yacht Rum Runner II or the Schooner Madeleine.

A
beautifully restored classic motor yacht, the Rum Runner II
is an authentic prohibition era rum smuggler from 1929. Rum
Runner II provides excellent viewing and speed due to her
stealth design and at 58' we carry up to 49 passengers in
comfort and style.
Rum
Runner II is U.S. Coast Guard inspected annually, and is equipped
with a clean rest room and a quality P.A. System. Captain
Mark Paltridge has safely piloted Rum Runner II for over 15
years and personally trains all crew and tour guides. Rum
Runner II has an open deck plan with partial covering for
shade. A light jacket is suggested and we ask that if possible,
our guests wear shoes with soft rubber soles.
